Tony Worrall

It is with great sadness that the branch announce the tragic passing of Tony Worrall.

On the evening of Friday 30th November Tony after an evening with branch friends suffered a heart attack. He was taken to hospital but sadly did not recover. He will be missed enormously by his friends within the branch but more so of course by his wife Joy, immediate family and close friends.

Most visitors to the Bradford Beer Festival over recent years and many to Keighley will have met Tony - if only briefly. He was more often than not responsible for admissions and the first person you would meet. Future festivals will not be the same without him for any of us.

Tyke Taverner

For some time know some previous copies of the branch magazine Tyke Taverner have been available on the website in Adobe PDF format. For several reasons including limited webpsace we have not had more recent copies available. It is hoped in the near future we shall replace these with the most recent/current edition of Tyke Taverner so those unable to grab a copy from local outlets will be able to keep an eye on whats happening in the local branch area. Watch this space.

Who we are.
Bradford CAMRA is a local Branch of The Campaign for Real Ale. CAMRA is the only consumer group in the UK dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional pubs, independent breweries and real ale.

The Bradford Branch of CAMRA is an active group of members & supporters with regular social meetings, rambles & brewery trips. The Branch also has a seasonal & annnual pub award, a quiz team in a local league and during the summer months an all conquering (ahem) Cricket team. We of course cannot forget our annual Beer festival - over recent years one of the largest in the U.K.

We extend a warm Yorkshire welcome to you all and hope you find our pages of interest. If you are planning a vist to the area please feel free to drop any one of us here on line a note and we will be glad to help if at all possible. If you would like to pass any comments on to our Webmaster regarding the layout or content of these pages we would again be pleased to hear from you.
